A pilot-styled chronograph with a slide-rule bezel, powered by light rather than a battery. The outer ring is a working circular slide rule for the calculations pilots do in the air, and the chronograph times to a fifth of a second. Under all of that it is a well-made 40mm steel watch with a sapphire crystal.
What you get
- Eco-Drive light-powered movement, so there is no battery change to schedule and it keeps running from room light
- Slide-rule bezel, a working aviation calculator for speed, distance and fuel — the reason this style exists
- 1/5-second chronograph timing up to 60 minutes, accurate enough for laps as well as flight legs
- Anti-reflective sapphire crystal, far harder than mineral glass and the right choice for a watch worn daily
- 200m / 20 bar rating, so swimming and snorkelling are fine
- 40mm faceted steel case on a triple-link bracelet, modest enough for a shirt cuff despite the busy dial
- 12/24-hour display and date window, useful when you are tracking two clocks
